What do you look forward to at nationals?
“Seeing what the east cost speechers have put together, ending my NCFCA career with a bang, and visiting those grand, old Southern plantations!”

Favorite Hobbies:
“Reading ridiculously old works of literature and performing dangerous equine activities.”

How has speech and/or debate benefited you?
“Well, besides improved confidence and overall presentation skills, speech (specifically interpretive events) has improved my acting. I am pursuing theatre professionally, and the process of preparing several interpretive events per year is a stretch, but it forces you to use your entire body and range to communicate with the audience.”

Favorite memory from the year:
“Watching the delight on the audience’s face during the final DUO round at Verve; it’s great when the audience really gets involved in the piece.”
