Kira – Apologetics, Dramatic Interp., Impromptu, Original Oratory

“Well that really depends, whenever my words become indistinguishable for my heavenly Father’s, in says in 1 Peter 4 that when we speak we should do it with the very words of God so he will be praised in everything. Honestly that can be any of the events. In Apologetics I have to chance to explain a truth about God, in Dramatic I can tell the story of God’s love and providence, in Original I share how God has worked in my life and in Impromptu I have the chance to incorporate truths of the faith into everyday things.”

What do you look forward to at nationals?

“Being surrounded by the best of the best; young people like myself who have chiseled their skills into iron swords and have a burning passion for Christ. When I go to the National Championship I will meet people who are going to change the world and glorify God with their lives.”
Favorite Hobbies:
“Dancing with my brother and teaching horsing back riding lessons!”

How has speech and/or debate benefited you?

“Where to begin, first of all I can speak. Most importantly I have grown in my walk with the lord. Furthermore I met some of my dearest friends in the league, many of whom live all over the country who I would never I have meet otherwise and many of whom I will keep my whole life. Finally I have been challenged like no tomorrow, students in NCFCA are not average by any means and I have been sparked to trust God and allow myself to be used for kingdom purposes.”

Favorite memory from the year: “I remember how the first night of Regionals I powwowed in Acacia Danielson’s hotel room with about fifteen other beauties and listened to the girls open their hearts to what God has called them to. We shared scripture, insights, inspiration, discouragement, discussed prayer and our role as Christian women. It was again one of those special moments God shows you his chosen people.”
