What do you look forward to at nationals?

“I’m looking forward to experiencing and learning from a new level of competition, as well as spending time with my friends for one more tournaments.”

Favorite Hobbies:

“Reading, horseback riding!”

How has speech and/or debate benefited you?

“The most recent one is the awards ceremony at this year’s regionals, when we discovered that everyone who had broken to outrounds in team policy was qualified to nationals. I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited for members of my club. The next day, my throat was raw from screaming.”

“The NCFCA has benefited me in many ways. Debate has taught me to logically evaluate assertions, think on my feet, and speak persuasively. Apologetics has forced me to study Biblical doctrine and to learn how to explain, defend, and apply it to life. I have also had the opportunity to make friends whose talents amaze and challenge me. I doubt I will find a group of people who are as full of both laughter and insight anywhere else.”
