Dear members of the PSSDA forum,
I have been an administrator on this forum since my brother Soren stopped debating in 2006, at the time I wasn't even debating. I've seen a lot of changes in the league; both good and bad, and have said goodbye to many people as they cycled through. I've seen the people who were thought to be losers become champions. I have seen victory seized from the jaws of defeat. I have laughed with you, joked with you, punished some of you, and felt like crying about this board on many occasions. The most important thing of all is that I can call all of you my friends. We've had some great times together. I suppose I should have written this note quite a while ago since I haven't participated through an entire debate year since NATO. I suppose, also, that you could say that I am plagued by a dream that does not tolerate the demands of debate. I always have told myself that I would be able to afford to participate "next year," indeed, many of you may still think I that my plans include debating in this coming year. You have no idea how much I wish that I could. Unfortunately, the NCFCA's rules prevent me from enrolling the number of Running Start classes that I need to succeed. I plan to attend medical school; perhaps one of the more difficult routes to conquer. In the interest of keeping this note short, I will simply say that I am resigning from my post of administrator in order to allow someone who is not a "groupie" to benefit from the position. I wish you all the best of luck in the coming year and success in all of your endeavors. My resignation will come into effect as soon as Daniel and I hear from the person we nominated to assume my position responds. I hope you will forgive me for waxing eloquent  Marissa |
